They Drink First Print

"They Drink First" is a response to political greed and environmental destruction, a system where those at the top never get their hands dirty, yet consume the most.

The towering creature in the sky represents those in power, suspended above consequence. Below, smaller figures do the labour on its behalf, draining the river of clean water and sending it upward, while pumping pollution back into the source. The water grows undrinkable. The land suffers, those who rely on the river are left to deal with the damage.

Set within a forest that once sustained balance, the scene reflects humanity as an invasive species, always moving, always extracting, always searching for more to take.
